The Ministry of Health, Oman hosted a high-level event to officially launch its Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects in the healthcare sector. The event took place on 17th March 2025 at the Ministry’s headquarters, under the esteemed patronage of H.E. Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. The ceremony marked the unveiling of several innovative AI initiatives, including the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Project using AI which was executed by Bahwan Healthacare Centre’s Medical Equipment Division and deployed across 25 health facilities throughout Oman.
